I hope to be more consistent with soul work, especially after this week of processing, as we all are, the senseless violence against one more Black child. These two beautiful and powerful Oracle decks by @jennyhahnart and Jessica Ricchetti, Wisdom of the Divine Feminine and Wisdom of the Shadow, are golden gifts, and never fail to bring me perspective to ruminate on during meditation. And usually offer just the perspective I need in that moment. Peace to you today. And stay awake. There are a lot of broken souls out there. I have two alcohol ink pieces in this show, and there’ll be a reception on First Friday, May 5th. There’ll be hundreds of art pieces to peruse, libations, live jazz, and it’s all for the cause of the Kansas City Community Gardens. Link in bio for more information. Kansas City supporting artists like a boss! Excerpt from TRADING FOURS is in this book of essays, and a deconstruction of the novel. Also included are mentions of three of my micro-fiction stories from the collection ALEATORY ON THE RADIO. This is a wonderful resource book with more an a hundred writers of jazz fiction included. Honored! These two pieces were just juried in to the @buttonwoodartspace for the upcoming exhibit “From the Earth.” Read books. Not ban them. Do not be afraid of ideas. #ImWithTheBanned Sounds like a plan. 👍🏽 This is not mine, and I don’t know whom to credit, but it really nails the true, indomitable nature of it. And is my experience right now. Christmas Eve in Atlanta, with sister, brother, and niece. It’s a peaceful quiet evening, we’ve been cooking, and watching movies. And Snoopy’s mailbox is right down the street from my sister’s house. Merry Christmas to you and yours. A snowy day.
